Salito's Crab House (Sausalito, Ca)

A couple of miles in, just past the

ruddy caps of the Golden Gate bridge, a restaurant sits on the Sausalito bay. The sun in all it's prestige welcomes scavenging gulls who perch on

the rails as a reprieve from the warmth of the sun. Sea lions bob and weave like slick buoys under the subtle current. We take it all in as well, a tribe of women near and dear to my

heart, as we scour the menu many times over. For starters we order a delicate shrimp and crab cocktail which softens our palette with freshness making sure we knew it had just been freshly caught. Robust pieces of crab, swim

in a pool of spicy red sauce and cheese forming a delicious enchilada. A

wonderful panko crusted fish, tender and crisp waddles inbetween well seasoned, superbly fried

petite cream potatoes. Crab and Shrimp louie salad accompanied by avocado, beets and eggs

offers nothing short of pure satisfaction. Beautiful days are meant to be spent together, and Salito's Crab House is the place to spend them.
